Coming Changes From 1st May
Some changes are coming to Uplift Radio almost a year after we have relocated to Kincasslagh. Most of these should not impact on our listeners, but will just determine the way we deliver our programmes to you.
Having changed our Server partner from the US to the UK, and also the provider of our signal stream, we hope you’ll continue to enjoy unbroken service and of course good programming. We have been testing our new services out, alongside the old, in the past month or so, and are now ready to begin serious broadcasting using the new stream only from May 1st.
If you use our Uplift Radio App, Tunein and any of its services, or Alexa, you will have no difficulty in reaching us. If you tune in by our website, you will not be able to hear us if you use Internet Explorer, as our stream unfortunately cannot support it. You can however get us easily on most other browsers, including Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Just type in www.upliftfm.com and use the players provided.
Since our inception we have been broadcasting to the UK and Ireland, and any of the countries supported by our licence providers, PPL and PRS. We are after all based in these countries. We know there are those however who would like to hear us in the US, but at this time we are not able to provide this service. We hope in the very near future to announce a change to this policy, when licencing in the US is possible for us. Of course our ‘On Demand’ material is still available as it is covered by the Mixcloud US licence.
We see these changes as a stepping stone to a bright new ‘radioactive’ future, and we would welcome any comments or thoughts you may have.
Happy listening!
