Kids like nuggets, and so do adults. Is it chicken I’m talking about, or perhaps rather, we just like things in bite-sized, easily manageable portions. These thoughts are something like that – nugget sized wisdom we can nibble at during the day – and perhaps they might sustain us when we need them. That’s why on Uplift Radio we employ them at the top of the hour and between songs in our automated output. They’re like seeds, which when planted have the power to help and affect us, perhaps not today, but at sometime in the future when we may feel under pressure. Our ‘nuggets’ are taken from wise people, sometimes religious more often not so, but when they are heard and thought about, they might just have the power to alter us and bring us a sense of uplift.
