Today’s The Day
This may well be the first day you’ve ever heard Uplift Radio. I could say it’s the best thing ever since sliced bread – whoever said sliced bread was – howeverI want to be realistic. There will be things you like and things you don’t like on it. Our aim is to give you a positive happy experience and if you take a nibble at us every so often, you might just find we become part of your staple diet. Yes, we are coming from Kincasslagh Co. Donegal – and that’s good. Yes, we can be heard in over 130 countries – and that’s good also. But for the best of experiences it has to be heard by you too. There’s so much variety there must be something you will like!
Check out our Schedule, and listen to our On Demand programmes,on our website and on our Apple, Google Play and Microsoft Store Apps. You won’t be disappointed!
Can I suggest that today, three programmes might just whet your appetite.
- My own ‘Nostalgia Moments’ at 7am, 12 noon and again tomorrow at 4pm, in which some of the greats in music get an airing, and I help you down Memory Lane.
-
Celtic Cross Country at 4pm and tomorrow at 2pm. Joe Bollard and I play Celtic music from all over, including Ireland, and liberally douse it with some great Country songs and superb , banter, at least that’s what we think. If you listen carefully, you’ll hear both of us sing in places. What a treat!
-
Brian’s Pick & Mix at 6pm and again tomorrow at 12 noon. Brian Fowler brings with him into the studio an amazing blend of music from pretty well all genres, and in particular this week, features a tribute to Aretha Franklin who passed away recently. Brian’s friendly couthy style will warm you to his programme immediately!
‘Sliced bread’ – who needs it when you’ve got Uplift Radio! Of course, there’s absolutely no reason why you can’t have both!
